The Our House Design name is still quite young in the industry, but the group of craftsmen have hundreds of years of combined skills. The determination for quality is applied to every piece that produced and the team looks at themselves as family, working toward one goal, and that is excellence.

The company is based in Hickory North Carolina, where time and traditions of great furniture making has been a constant force. Our House Designs offers a various selection of upholstery items.

Offering the best comfort seating is always Our House Designs’ goal. The company has the newest colours and designs for today’s ever changing demands. The scale and designs have all the aesthetical values that the owner can enjoy for many years.

Our House Designs have set up two promotions in order to offer better values. Vintage Impressions is a collection of sofas, loveseats, chairs, and ottoman. The other promotion is called Executive Retreat which is a collection offering desks chairs, visitor’s chairs, and occasional chairs. These two promotions have a wide variety of designs.

Our House Designs will only use the finest leathers available. The leathers and fabrics come from the finest tanneries and mills worldwide. The fabrics were added to coordinate with all of their leather choices.

The option of combing leather and fabrics adds a very exiting design element. The choices of leathers are Pure Aniline, Nubuck, and Protected top grain leathers. With these leathers one can order traditional or contemporary, formal or casual Our House Designs.

Our House Designs cushion cores are offered in many comfort levels. Blend down is designed with foam and feather. This comfort is used when someone likes a softer feel while high-density foams are applied when someone prefers a firmer seat. Cushions are made specifically for every model.

All frames are engineered to stand up to many years of use. Our House Designs are made from the best materials. The show wood chairs are hand carved and finished to the highest of standards.

The kiln-dried wood is assembled and hand fitted, glued, double doweled and reinforced with wooden corner blocks. Eight-way hand tied tempered steel coil springs support the cushions in all models. The backs have continuous wire springs and the seat decks have a steel band platform that is reinforced. Our House Designs uses a double polypropylene and cotton blend covers for backs and seats.

Most of the Our House Designs desk chairs allow the user to adjust seat height as much as three inches. Several styles are available with a gas mechanism that features a one-touch seat height adjustment. The tilt tension regulator hand wheel adjusts the vertical and horizontal springs and lets the user control the range of rocking motion or utilize a lock feature for those who do not desire the chair to tilt.
