With the team’s knowledge of balance and proportion as well as colour sense, they will save you time and money. Joe is the president of Critelli's Furniture. He is the fourth generation owner of the company, keeping it family owned and operated since its opening in Thorold in 1914. He studied at the University of Waterloo and locally at Brock University. As a small business owner in Niagara, Joe understands that giving back to our communities is the responsibility of every business. He is a past board member of the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce and an active board member of the St Catharine’s Downtown Association. Additionally, he is very involved in many different community fundraising events. Joe is committed to Critelli’s business calling, which is “to enhance the lives of consumers in the home”.
Julia CritelliOperations Manager
Julia is the Operations Manager of Critelli Furniture. She is on her way to being the fifth generation owner of the company. Julia joined the company a little over a year ago after she graduated from Western University in London, Ontario. She completed her degree in Business Management and Organizational Studies. Julia has always had a strong passion for design and hopes to carry that throughout her work in the family business. She enjoys being operations manager and helping every aspect of the business.
Misette is the manager of Transitions Furniture, our second location in downtown St Catharines. As with all her family members, Misette worked at Critelli's Furniture during many of her high school years. She received her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Ottawa, and in 1989 Misette returned to the business. She has had the opportunity to visit most of our manufacturers throughout North America. On a volunteer basis Misette sits as a Board of Directors with the YWCA and is a member of NABWN. Her passion for helping people, along with the support of the design staff, allows Misette to bring comfort and beauty into any home.
Pam ClementInterior Design Consultant
A Niagara on the lake native, Pam has been in the home design and decor field for 10 years. She has visited the Stickley factory in Manlius, NY where she developed an appreciation for craftsman furniture. Pam has done it all, from advising in basement renovation, to designing kitchen and bathrooms. She has an eye for style in any space and for any preference. Personally, Pam has an eclectic style and she has a love for fabric. No matter the project in your home, she is able to connect design, comfort and functionality.
Melanie DresselInterior Design Consultant
Melanie has been at Transitions since the very first day it opened in 2002. She is a graduate of Niagara College in Advanced Interior Design. Melanie has 37 years of experience in the field, starting her career in commercial design for furniture manufacturers. After a few years, Melanie tried her hand at residential interior design. She discovered that helping homeowners make their dreams come true is very rewarding. She is adept at working from floor plans and creating a space that reflects her client’s personalities. She is eclectic in style, therefore, no matter your tastes (modern or traditional), Melanie can help.
Juanita HammondInterior Design Consultant
Juanita is the newest member of the Critelli's team! She has been in the furniture and design business for over 25 years. In Elmira and Fergus, Ontario, Juanita owned and operated her own furniture stores. Since 2002, Juanita has been dedicated to learning and enjoying the interior design feature of the business. Personally, her favorite style is French Country. Professionally, she is an expert at working with your colours and shapes to get that perfect flow in any room design. Juanita’s greatest joys are in helping the customer have a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Lynn RoundInterior Design and Display Consultant
Lynn received her Interior Design Degree from Sheraton College and has been in the interior design industry for over 30 years. She is a native of Quebec, but lived in BC for 29 years. There, she owned and operated her own interior design firm where she was able to hone her design skills. During her time in BC she worked on many amazing projects and spent 7 years furnishing lottery homes. Lynn enjoys getting to know her customers to help them create an attractive and functional home to reflect their own personality and unique style.
Jacklyn JacksonInterior Design Consultant
Jackie is a native of Missouri. She is a graduate of Northern Oklahoma College in Design. Jackie has been in the interior design industry for over 20 years! In her years of experience, she has visited many of the largest furniture shows in North America, including the Dallas Design Market and the High Point Furniture Market. Personally, Jackie loves the look of sleek, contemporary styles influenced by modernism. However, she is very detail-oriented and has a wonderful design talent, which allows her to work with her clients to create a room they truthfully love in any style.
Jim KaufmanInterior Design Consultant
Jim is currently finishing his degree in Interior Design and has a background in the home building industry. For almost 20 years Jim has personally designed and built multiple custom homes as part of his family’s company. He is ready to take his career in design to the next level with our team here at Critelli’s. Turning clients dream homes into a reality has been Jim’s favorite part of design and home building. Jim’s repertoire is versatile and constantly changing with emerging trends. Although his personal style is transitional and contemporary he is ready to take on any project.
Teresa has been at Critelli’s for over 16 years. She manages our accounts, creates our tickets, and much more! Her customer service skills and years of experience allows her to smoothly process payments and keep our whole team in line. She truly is amazing!
