Stickley is built on the philosophy that furniture should be honest, functional, and enduring. Since 1900, the Stickley name has been synonymous with the finest solid wood construction in the world. This is the signature of Stickley strength. Door joints are meticulously tenoned, glued, and then pinned with solid wood pins that lock the joint into place. This method ensures a structural bond so powerful it would hold even without the glue.
Stickley uses a specialized sawing technique that cuts parallel to the medullary rays of the wood. This process reveals the iconic 'ray flake' grain pattern while providing superior structural stability and resistance to warping or twisting.
Every drawer features a traditional wooden tracking system with no plastic parts to break or metal to rust. The center guide keeps the drawer from skewing, while the side suspension ensures it stays level and glides smoothly for a hundred years.
