Inspired by an 18th Century Louis XV elaborately carved console with a black honed marble top exemplifies the Rococo style’s emphasis on ornate and fluid designs, characterized by symmetry, intricate carvings, and natural motifs. This style emerged in France during the reign of Louis XV and represented a departure from the more rigid and formal Baroque aesthetic. The use of a black honed marble top showcases the period’s appreciation for combining different materials and textures to enhance the visual appeal of furniture pieces.
